Thank You

On the eve of the primary season coming to an end, I'm sitting in front of the computer at my supporter housing in South Dakota, and feeling very grateful for what has been an unprecedented roller coaster ride the last several months.
Thank you to Hillary Clinton: You've shown the public a number of things they haven't seen in a long time, if at all. That a woman can run for President and be taken seriously. That a Democrat can show backbone, guile, and a never-say-die attitude. That you will have magnitudes of greater testicular fortitude than Harry Reid ever will. That you're not a quitter. While I may have fervently disagreed with your campaign tactics at times, and while I despise your advisers (Penn, Ickes et. al), I have come to greatly admire you and the principles you have spent most of your life fighting for.
Thank you to Barack Obama: What can I say? I've worked my ass off for you in four different states. You've inspired me to get involved, to organize, and to make a difference in people's lives. Thank you for showing us that millions of people working together across this country really can make change. We've already seen it with this record-breaking election season, and I know in my heart that we ain't seen nothing yet. You've revolutionized American politics already with your use of the internet and your ability to tap into something that the American psyche has been missing for far too long, a call to service.
Thank you to the staffs, organizers and millions of volunteers for both campaigns: Without you, neither Hillary nor Barack would be where they are, and we as an online activist community owe you a huge debt of gratitude. You are what makes the Democratic Party great, and it is you who we will rely on to carry us to victory over John McCain.
Thank you to Kos, Al Giordano, Poblano (Nate), BooMan, and the rest of the reality-based progressive community: For backing the right candidate, and for calling bullshit when it needed to be called. The media has been out of control this cycle, and you guys have been right there with reasoned analysis backed up by reliable sources and solid facts. You've often been several days ahead of the media curve.
Thank you to June 3rd: For finally being here so we can unite behind our nominee and get ready to blast McCain!
What are you thankful for?
